“I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning.”
~ Plato

Parents,
DID YOU KNOW??

It is not too late to order your copy of a musical performance on DVD. Simply send in the form below with $15 cash or check (made to Buckalew) to secure your recording. We include many photographs as well as the video footage of the performance. It makes a wonderful keepsake and a special gift for those friends or families who may live outside our area. All proceeds are invested in our music programs on stage and in the classroom, so you are helping to fund your child’s ongoing musical experience here at Buckalew when you purchase a DVD. You may order any DVD at any time of any performance. This includes past performances in previous years. If you have any questions about how to obtain copies of shows done in the past, do not hesitate to contact me at jstobbe@conroeisd.net I would happy to help you.

Thank you for sharing your children with me!

Basic Elementary Music Information

Our music program will provide students with a comprehensive, standards-based music education that develops music literacy and fosters a lifelong appreciation for music. This will be accomplished through quality instruction and enriched musical experiences in a child-centered, positive environment that is supported through school, community and parental involvement.

The Kodàly method, along with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, is the curriculum implemented throughout all levels of my elementary music program.

"Without music, life would be a mistake. "
~ Friedrich Nietzsche
You keep me singing,
Mrs. Stobbe
