About Mrs. Saheb
Welcome! This is my 15th year in the classroom.  I began my teaching career in Spring ISD teaching 4th grade ELA/SS. After 3 years, I moved to Klein ISD where I taught 5th grade ELA/SSfor 3 years at Theiss Elementary, and taught 4th grade ELA/SS for 8 years at Northampton Elementary. I am thrilled to be teaching 3rd grade at Buckalew this year.
I am married and have two wonderful boys. Tyler will begin kindergarten this year here at Buckalew. Jordan, who is 4 years old, cannot wait to attend kindergarten here next year! We are so blessed to be part of the Buckalew family!
From a young age, I knew I was destined to become a teacher. After graduating from The Woodlands High School, I attended Stephen F. Austin University to persue my dream of becoming a teacher. I love being in the classroom with children reading, writing, discussing, discovering, investigating, sharing, and collaborating.
I'm looking forward to a great year!

In Writing, students will be able to: Write independently for longer periods of time ● Generate ideas for personal experiences ● Write to express ● Write using an organizational tool ●  Write compound sentences ● Use the appropriate coordinating conjunctions ● Write sentences with subject verb agreement
Topics assessed in Writing: Writing epository/opinion ●  Writing legibly ● Writing in complete sentences with capitalization and punctuation ● Using compound sentences in their writing ● Writing sentences with subject verb agreement ● Capitalizing proper nouns
In Reading, students will be able to: : ● Read independently for longer periods of time. ● In all genres: ● Identify the meaning of common prefixes and suffixes and know how they change the meanings of roots ● Use context to find the meaning of words ● Use synonyms, antonyms, homographs, and homophones ● Analyze media ● Make inferences ● Summarize In literary text (fiction, poetry, drama, literary nonfiction): ● Locate facts and details and support answers with text evidence ● Make inferences about theme ● Make inferences about how sensory language creates imagery in literary text ● Visualize using literary text    In poetry: ● Make inferences about the structure and elements of poetry ● Describe imagery in poetry      In fiction: ● Summarize plot in fiction ● Describe character interactions in fiction In literary nonfiction: ● Make inferences about the structure and elements in biography and autobiography In informational text: ● Make inferences about author’s purpose in historical, cultural, or contemporary informational text ● Identify main idea and supporting details in expository text. ● Draw conclusions in expository text and support with text evidence ● Identify cause and effect relationships ● Use text features In procedural text: ● Use information in graphic features of text
